Khaman it is a delightful and healthy steaming
snack made with freshly ground lentils and chickpea flour. The modern, urban
variation is served in newspapers in farsan (snack) shops with spicy chutneys
and a few bits of green chilli. The traditional version is usually served on a
wide green leaf known as the Kesuda.
2. Thepla
: These flatbreads are long-lasting, healthful snack options. They make filling
meals when served steaming hot with fresh curd, pickles, or chundo. They also
make an excellent monsoon snack or a delicious breakfast when served with a cup
of hot tea.
3. Khandvi : It is simply irresistible
because to the flavorful but straightforward garnish of curry leaves,
coriander, cumin, mustard, and coconut. It is a well-liked snack among
Gujaratis and Maharashtrians alike and is also known as "suralichya
wadya" in Maharashtra.
4. Undhiyu
: It is a unique winter treat produced with the finest fresh food that is
easily available in the winter. Common ingredients include potatoes, yam, green
peas, bananas, beans, crunchy muthiyas (fried chickpea flour dumplings),
eggplant, and they're all slow-cooked to perfection with buttermilk, coconut,
and spices.
5. Fafda-Jalebi
: Jalebi is a sweet deep-fried pretzel made of wheat flour and coated in sugar,
while fafda is a crunchy snack made of fried chickpea flour.
6. Gujarati
Kadhi : This is a classic meal composed of sour curd that has been spiced,
thickened with flour, and sweetened with either sugar or jaggery. Koftas or
pakoras can be added to this thin soup-like, sweet and sour kadhi to improve
its texture.
